A longtime resident of Carlsbad, California, she is a self-taught artist who paints for the pure pleasure of it. Celestte creates emotional abstract paintings inspired spontaneously by the color, technique, and emotion of the moment, her work evokes strong feelings and inspires the viewer through the visceral display of emotional intensity and the simple delight of bright color, energy, and form. She uses acrylic and oil paint along with other media. About her paintings, reviewers have said "There is an undeniable rhythm and impact in every piece," and "This art is meant to be felt."
Celestte's work has been featured in the Florence, Italy La Biennale, and in a variety of group and solo shows in San Diego and San Francisco.
My Art is my art. It doesn't mean anything else. If it feels good I paint it--if it feels bad I paint it. It just has to feel intense.
